Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Therapeutic Edge collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our website, courses, forms, readiness checks, downloads, and related services.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Therapeutic Edge, creating an account, purchasing a course, submitting a form, completing a readiness check, downloading a resource, or contacting us, you acknowledge that your information may be handled as described below.
1. Introduction
Therapeutic Edge LLC (“Therapeutic Edge,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use our website, courses, digital recovery guides, readiness checks, downloadable resources, forms, email communications, and related services.
This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what choices you have.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Therapeutic Edge website and related online services, including free resources, paid digital courses, WooCommerce checkout, LearnDash course activity, Fluent Forms submissions, self-guided readiness checks, downloadable resources, email signups, support requests, topic submissions, and website analytics.
Therapeutic Edge is an educational website and digital course platform. This website is not intended to serve as an emergency communication tool, patient portal, electronic medical record, or substitute for care from your surgeon, physician, physical therapist, or healthcare team.
Therapeutic Edge does not claim that this website, its forms, readiness checks, email tools, or course platform are a HIPAA-compliant patient portal or electronic medical record system.
Do not use website forms, readiness checks, email, comments, or support tools to submit urgent medical concerns, emergency symptoms, wound concerns, medication questions, or time-sensitive health issues.
3. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the website. We may collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the website, and information processed by third-party tools used to operate the website.
Examples of information we may collect include:
- Name, email address, username, password, and account information.
- Billing details, order information, purchase history, and course enrollment information.
- Course progress, lessons viewed, topics completed, quiz activity, check-ins, readiness check activity, timestamps, and completion status.
- Information submitted through forms, surveys, recovery tracking tools, readiness checks, topic-submission forms, comments, support requests, or email.
- Health-related or recovery-related information you voluntarily submit, such as surgery date, recovery phase, pain level, swelling, range of motion, exercise tolerance, progress updates, goals, questions, or concerns.
- Information related to downloadable resources, email signups, waitlists, newsletters, or marketing preferences.
- Technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, interaction patterns, and general usage data.
- Cookie and similar technology information, depending on the tools used on the website.
4. Accounts, Orders, and Checkout
We use WooCommerce and related WordPress tools to manage online orders, checkout, accounts, customer records, and ecommerce functions.
When you purchase a course or create an account, we may collect and store information such as your name, email address, billing information, order details, course enrollment, purchase history, account login details, and customer support records.
We use this information to process orders, provide access to purchased courses, manage your account, send transactional emails, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, maintain records, and comply with business, tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
5. Payments
Payments may be processed through WooPayments and related payment methods available at checkout. WooPayments is built in partnership with Stripe, and payment information may be processed by WooPayments, Stripe, card networks, banks, digital wallet providers, and other payment-related service providers.
Therapeutic Edge does not directly store full payment card numbers. Payment processors may collect and process payment card information, billing details, transaction details, fraud-prevention data, and other information necessary to complete and secure transactions.
Your use of payment methods may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable payment processor, card network, bank, digital wallet provider, or other payment-related service.
6. Forms, Recovery Tracking, and User-Submitted Health-Related Information
We may use Fluent Forms or similar form tools to collect information through contact forms, recovery check-ins, surveys, support requests, progress tracking tools, readiness checks, downloadable resource forms, topic-submission forms, and other submissions.
Depending on how you use the website, you may voluntarily submit health-related or recovery-related information, such as surgery date, current recovery phase, pain level, swelling, range of motion, exercise tolerance, progress updates, goals, questions, or concerns.
Form submissions and readiness check responses may be stored in WordPress, Fluent Forms, related databases, email systems, or other tools used to operate the website.
We may use this information to provide course functionality, organize recovery tracking, generate self-guided educational results, respond to non-urgent support requests when applicable, improve educational content, improve the user experience, and better understand how users engage with our resources.
You should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal, medical, financial, or emergency information through website forms, readiness checks, email, comments, or support tools. No website, email system, form, or online transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We do not currently ask users to upload images, videos, medical records, imaging reports, incision photos, or exercise videos through the website. Please do not submit those materials unless we specifically request them through an appropriate process.
Information submitted through Therapeutic Edge does not create a provider-patient relationship and should not be used for emergency care, diagnosis, treatment, surgical complication screening, medication guidance, or individualized medical decision-making.
7. Self-Guided Readiness Checks and Automated Results
Some Therapeutic Edge forms, check-ins, or course tools may generate automated, self-guided educational results based on the information you submit. These results may suggest whether you may be ready to review the next phase or exercise block, continue building consistency in the current phase or block, modify your approach, or contact your healthcare team.
These automated results are generated for educational organization and course-navigation purposes only. They are not reviewed by a clinician, are not medical clearance, and are not a diagnosis, individualized treatment plan, surgical recommendation, emergency recommendation, or substitute for care from your surgeon, physician, physical therapist, or healthcare team.
We may collect and store the information you submit through readiness checks, the results generated by those tools, and related timestamps or course activity. We may use this information to operate the tool, improve the course experience, understand how users interact with the course, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve our educational materials.
8. Course Progress and LearnDash Activity
We use LearnDash and related tools to deliver online courses and manage course access. These tools may collect and store course activity information.
Course activity may include lessons viewed, topics completed, quizzes completed, course progress, completion status, timestamps, login activity, certificates, assignments, check-ins, readiness check activity, and related learning activity.
We use this information to provide course access, track progress, improve course design, support users, troubleshoot technical issues, and understand how our educational materials are being used.
9. Ask the Expert and Topic Submissions
Therapeutic Edge may provide Ask-the-Expert style forms, topic-submission forms, or question forms related to general educational content, including potential future YouTube videos, articles, or course resources.
These forms are intended for general education and content-topic ideas. They are not a direct line of personal medical communication, do not guarantee a personal response, and should not be used to submit personal medical questions, urgent symptoms, wound concerns, medication questions, imaging questions, or requests for diagnosis or treatment advice.
We may review, store, summarize, edit, or use submitted questions and topic ideas to create general educational content. If we use a submitted question publicly, we may edit it for clarity, remove identifying information, generalize the question, or combine it with similar questions.
10. Email Marketing and Downloadable Resources
If you request a downloadable resource, sign up for our email list, join a waitlist, register for updates, or otherwise provide your contact information, we may use your name, email address, and related submission information to send you the requested resource and communicate with you about Therapeutic Edge.
We may send educational emails, recovery resources, course updates, announcements, newsletters, and occasional promotional messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails or by contacting us at rehabteam@mytherapeuticedge.com.
We may use third-party email marketing providers, including Mailchimp, to collect, manage, and send email communications. These providers may process your contact information on our behalf and may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to help deliver emails, measure email performance, track opens and clicks, manage unsubscribes, and improve email communication.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent us from sending transactional or administrative emails related to purchases, course access, account management, support requests, policy updates, or other non-marketing communications.
11. Analytics and Site Performance
We may use analytics tools to understand website traffic, page performance, user interaction, course experience, and overall website functionality.
Analytics tools may collect information such as pages viewed, links clicked, referral sources, browser type, device type, approximate location, session duration, interaction patterns, search activity, and other usage information.
We use analytics information to improve website performance, identify technical problems, understand what content is useful, improve navigation, improve course design, and make the website easier to use.
When possible, we aim to use analytics settings that limit unnecessary data collection and focus on aggregate website performance, usability, and interaction trends rather than identifying individual users.
We do not currently use advertising pixels or retargeting pixels. If we add advertising, retargeting, or similar marketing tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notices or choices as required by applicable law.
12. YouTube Videos and Embedded Content
Therapeutic Edge may use YouTube to host or embed educational videos. When you view or interact with embedded YouTube videos, YouTube and Google may collect or process information according to their own privacy practices.
This may include information about your device, browser, viewing activity, interaction with the video, and whether you are logged into a Google or YouTube account.
If you play an embedded YouTube video, YouTube or Google may collect information about that interaction according to their own privacy practices, even when privacy-enhanced embed options are used.
Where practical, we may use privacy-enhanced embed options, but third-party embedded content may still be subject to the privacy policies and technologies of the third-party provider.
13. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website and third-party tools may use cookies, pixels, local storage, log files, or similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, manage accounts, support checkout, measure website performance, improve functionality, and understand user interaction.
Cookies may be used for essential website functions, ecommerce checkout, login sessions, analytics, video embeds, email marketing performance, security, affiliate tracking if implemented, and site improvement.
You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable certain cookies, some parts of the website may not function properly, including account login, checkout, course access, readiness tools, or embedded content.
Some browsers or devices may offer “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals. Because there is not a consistent industry standard for responding to all such signals, our website may not respond to all of them. Where required by applicable law, we will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals.
14. Product Pages, External Retailers, and Affiliate Links
Therapeutic Edge may include product pages, equipment categories, external retailer links, Amazon pages, affiliate links, sponsored links, or other product-related resources.
If you click a link to an external retailer or third-party website, that third party may collect information about your visit, clicks, purchases, device, browser, or interaction according to its own privacy policies and technologies.
If we use affiliate links, affiliate networks or retailers may use cookies, pixels, tracking links, or similar technologies to attribute purchases or measure performance. Therapeutic Edge may receive a commission or other benefit from qualifying purchases when affiliate links are used, and we will provide affiliate disclosures where required.
Product pages and external links are provided for general educational convenience and do not guarantee that any product is appropriate for your individual condition, recovery stage, home environment, or medical needs.

17. No Sale of Personal Information and No Current Ad Retargeting
Therapeutic Edge does not sell personal information.
We do not currently use advertising pixels, retargeting pixels, or behavioral advertising tools. If we use advertising or retargeting tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notices or choices as required by applicable law.
18. No Automated Medical Decision-Making
Therapeutic Edge does not use submitted recovery information, course progress, form responses, readiness check responses, or website activity to make automated medical decisions, diagnoses, treatment decisions, surgical recommendations, emergency-care decisions, or medical-clearance decisions.
Readiness checks, recovery tracking, check-ins, and course progress features are intended for educational organization, self-guided course navigation, and user experience only. They do not replace individualized evaluation by a qualified healthcare provider.
